Blog > From storeroom to design hub

As demand continued to grow for our in-house design expertise, we took on so many new design engineers that the design office was bulging at the seams. Something had to be done. Unfortunately, extending our existing premises was not an option, so we had to get creative. We applied the problem-solving process we use for our clients to ourselves, as we set about designing more space into our existing constraints. Realising that our large storeroom could be put to better to use, we set about converting it into a new design office. The room was refurbished, partitions were built, power cables were laid and a new layout including two toilets and a kitchen area carefully planned to maximise the space. Now our 8-strong design team is able to enjoy the benefits of a new, ‘purpose-designed’ office.
